With only 12 days until their wedding day, I met with Erica at my "office" aka a Starbucks in Gig Harbor to talk about her upcoming wedding. Originally she wasn't going to hire a wedding planner but with an impending move across the country for a new Naval assistant for her soon to be husband Mark, she knew she needed some help to ensure her day runs smoothly so she said it was a no-brainer to hire us.
Ironically we began our 2014 wedding season at Poulsbo's Red Cedar Farm so it was only fitting that we start 2015 there too, We absloutley love this venue, it has it all but its the Pinball room that gets me everytime so we were excited to be back there again.
Because we came into the planning at the very end, it was really tying a few loose ends and doing a walk-through to make sure we understood her vision.
What we loved most about this beautiful wedding were all the little details that Erica spent on, from the hand written aisle runner to the beautifully crafted signs she had commissioned to the Wedding Crest she had made on silk that also served as the couple's wedding favor to their guests.
Another highlight during the evening was the presentation of a very prestigious Naval award to the groom, which was a surprise to him and the perfect way to send off this couple who spent their honeymoon driving across country in a U-Haul to their new home in New Hampshire.
Thank you Erica + Mark for allowing Elegant Affairs to be part of your magical day.
