Seattle Farm Tables is a family owned rental company out of Redmond, WA. We make handmade wooden tables, benches, and chairs, and deliver all around the state. We are unique in that we don’t rent a wide variety of things, but instead focus on providing masterful quality and a highly personal rental experience. Each employee of Seattle Farm Tables cares deeply about the company and this comes through in our communication with clients and our care for client vision and experience. Our advice to couples on choosing specialized rental companies is to look for companies that you connect with and who can truly help you realize your vision.

Every wedding season is full of memorable experiences for Seattle Farm Tables! Last year we delivered almost all of our barnwood line to the cathedral-esque Suzzalo Library Reading Room at the University of Washington. This summer our first full live edge delivery went to the Meadowbrook Interpretive Center in North Bend. The ceremony took place using our cedar benches, Mount Si as a stunning backdrop, and dahlias on every table!

One of the best things about our tables and benches is that they are simple, classic, and pair with ANYTHING! So, while our tables themselves won’t be revamped into any new styles, they will pair perfectly with the forecasted brushed metallic and white trends of 2017.

Our favorite part of what we do is getting to provide the handmade tables that the couple’s family and friends gather around to celebrate their love. While tables may not be the first thing a couple gets excited about while designing their big day, what we have heard again and again is that our handmade pieces were the perfect foundation for each ceremony.

DIY Tin Can Lanterns

Everyone has tin cans sitting around their house. But not many people know what to do with them. These tin cans can be the perfect addition to your rustic wedding this summer. Whether outdoor, barn or farm ceremony and reception, these can be perfect for the adding a rustic touch.

You’ll only need a few things for this project. First you’ll need as many tin cans as you want for your wedding. These can be great aisle runners, hung from trees or just placed on tables around the reception.

Next you’ll need a nail and some wire so make a handle if you want one on your can. A handle adds a nice touch and then gives you the ability to hang them and move them more easily if you want them too.

Then you can create the pattern. By using a nail and hammer you can punch small holes through the can. You can make a pattern or just an array of dotes all over the can. This is where you can get personal and make whatever kind of design you desire.

Finally you can remove the lid and then paint the cans however you want them. Mix and match with lots of different colors or have a uniform look for all the cans. Choose whatever fits in better with your vision.

Then you can add the candles and your done! These will look great with evening and nighttime weddings or could just be filled with flowers for a daytime wedding. You can do as you wish and make them unique for you.
