DIY Card Boxes

This week I found some grey DIY card basket ideas. This is a great way to give your guests a place to leave cards and make sure they stay organized and don’t get lost. The great thing about these, like any DIY project, is you have so many possibilities to customize it and make it unique. You can the perfect way to match it to your theme and colors and just add that extra touch to wow your guests.

The first thing you could do is to use small boxes cut and put together with a card slot. You can decorate the boxes in any color or patter with ribbon, lace, flowers, and bling.

If you are going for a more vintage vibe there are some great way to tie a card basket in. I love the use of an old bird cage. These might be a little harder to find but are so beautiful and delicate. I also love the use of an old suitcase that isa more vintage eccentric style.

Another unique one is a mailbox. For a more rustic style window I think this would be perfect. Add some burlap and lace or use some flowers and ribbon to great the perfect look for you.

Finally a simple idea is to just a use a basket. You can still decorate and make this unique to you. You can paint them or add some small touch for a simple classic feel.

Have a great week, and check back next Sunday!

Bridal Crafts

This is your big day. Everyone wants to feel extra special on this day. I found a few little things you can do to spice up your day and just make things a little extra special for you and your wedding party.

The first thing I found was these “I DO” stickers for your shoes. This is something you don’t often see and I thought they were super cute and unique.  They had just a special touch to your big day. You can order them online and also find other styles to customize and make your attire as unique as you like. And make sure to get a great picture with these as well!

Another special touch that will have your wedding party feeling special as well is these great DIY hangers. Just personalize them and add decorations or colors to your pleasing. The great part is that they can keep them as kind of keepsake from your big day.

The “Mrs” DIY t-shirt is perfect for getting ready on your big day. You can create this easy with a stencil and fabric paint. You make one for yourself or for the whole bridal party. This is a fun way to get everyone excited for the day and another great keepsake!

DIY Tin Can Lanterns

Everyone has tin cans sitting around their house. But not many people know what to do with them. These tin cans can be the perfect addition to your rustic wedding this summer. Whether outdoor, barn or farm ceremony and reception, these can be perfect for the adding a rustic touch.

You’ll only need a few things for this project. First you’ll need as many tin cans as you want for your wedding. These can be great aisle runners, hung from trees or just placed on tables around the reception.

Next you’ll need a nail and some wire so make a handle if you want one on your can. A handle adds a nice touch and then gives you the ability to hang them and move them more easily if you want them too.

Then you can create the pattern. By using a nail and hammer you can punch small holes through the can. You can make a pattern or just an array of dotes all over the can. This is where you can get personal and make whatever kind of design you desire.

Finally you can remove the lid and then paint the cans however you want them. Mix and match with lots of different colors or have a uniform look for all the cans. Choose whatever fits in better with your vision.

Then you can add the candles and your done! These will look great with evening and nighttime weddings or could just be filled with flowers for a daytime wedding. You can do as you wish and make them unique for you.
