We simply love working with families more than once and Katie + Ryan’s wedding was another time where I got to be part of another celebration.

I first met Kate back in 2014 when I was planning her older sister’s wedding and then we reconnected at her sister’s baby shower.

For Katie + Ryan their wedding had a lot of personal touches and a lot of emotion. Sadly, shortly after her sister’s wedding, Katie’s dad passed away. We loved all the ways he was remembered. From having his classic Porsche onsite, to his photo on what would be his ceremony chair and on her bouquet, I think everything could feel his spirit that day. Ryan also lost his father and he was equally represented on the groom’s boutonnière (photo charm) and on his ceremony chair.

This wedding had me crying almost all day. From the bride’s grandfather walking the bride down the aisle to the groom’s niece (also served as a flower girl) emotional reaction (all happy tears) watching her uncle marry the love of his life to listening to all of the toasts. But there was a lot of laughter too.

I just loved watching this couple’s love story evolve and everything about that August day was perfect!
