How to Behave when Shopping for your Wedding Dress
Shopping for your wedding dress is one of the most exciting parts of being engaged! Keep it classy and don’t embarrass yourself by following these 4 etiquette tips.
1. 1. Make an Appointment – all bridal salons either require or strongly recommend having an appointment before coming in. This will create the best experience for you as well as allow the salon to be best prepared to serve every bride that walks in their door. If you don’t have an appointment, do not expect the salon to squeeze you in as a walk-in.
2. 2. Don’t Bring a Huge Entourage – Deciding on who to bring with you can almost be harder than deicing on a dress! But remember, this decision is all about you and in order to keep from getting overwhelmed keep your entourage small. This is also out of respect for the bridal salon and other brides with appointments that day. A large and loud crowd only distracts from all the brides in the salon.
3. 3. Leave the Snacks at Home – You are entering an all-white, dry clean only zone! Leave all snacks and drinks, especially coffee at home! If you’ve picked a good salon, your consultant will offer you champagne during your appointment which, is better than coffee anyways!
4. 4. Don’t Try Dresses without Intention – Don’t waste your time, your entourages’ time or your consultant’s time by making an appointment with no intention of buying a dress. Bridal salons are not for dress up.
