How to be the Best Bridesmaid

Your friend, cousin, sister; someone in your life is getting married and you have been asked to be a bridesmaid! In order to be the best bridesmaid, here are a few simple etiquette tips you should follow.

Consider the Commitment: Being a bridesmaid is both a time and financial commitment. Don’t say yes until you are sure you are available for all the events involved with the wedding. Also, take a look at your finances before saying yes. The worst thing you can do, and should never do, is back out after you’ve already said yes.

Pay Your Way: Once you’ve committed to being a bridesmaid, don’t complain about the cost. Expect to buy your outfit for the wedding, pay for your share of the bachelorette party and showers, and buy a wedding gift for the couple.

Put the Bride First: Your number one job is to make the bride’s life easier! Don’t think about yourself during this process but think about the bride and how you can help her and celebrate this exciting time in her life!
