What Not To Wear To A Wedding
Just like your favorite TLC show, I am here to tell you what not to wear as a guest at a wedding. The bridal party has it made, their outfits are picked out for them; but we can’t all be that lucky. Here are 5 things to avoid at all costs when picking out your outfit.
1. White
Never wear white. Ever.
2. Lace
Now this rule is a little less strict but still something to be cautious of. Don’t wear anything too close to what the bride might be wearing so you don’t offend her.
3. The Wedding Color(s)
This might be a little harder to avoid especially if you don’t know what the wedding colors are. But most importantly, try to avoid any colors that the bridesmaids are wearing, if possible.
4. Jeans
As with #1, never wear jeans to a wedding.
5. A Dress that Shows Too Much
Dress classy with your cleavage and don’t wear anything that will draw attention away from the bride. This includes flashy material, too short of a hemline, too low of a neckline or too tight of a dress all together.
If you’re unsure of what you are wearing, the best rule of thumb to follow is: would you be upset if a guest wore that to your wedding?
